This funding will enable ECaPPH to continue its pandemic preparedness activities and support the development and responsible advancement of dual-use research and technologies. Created to strengthen our collective capacity to respond to pandemics, ECaPPH is continuing this mission in an evolving global context. Our ambition remains the same: to mobilize the expertise, infrastructure and capabilities needed to respond quickly and effectively to health threats, whatever form they may take. This new funding will enable us to: - **Map research expertise and capabilities across Eastern Canada** to help rapidly mobilize the right teams and resources in response to a health emergency; - **Better understand and support dual-use research** by helping to structure capabilities and collaborations in this emerging field; - **Support the sustainability of capabilities developed through previously funded projects**, including by helping advance them toward technology transfer and commercialization; - **Strengthen connections across academia, industry, government and the health sector** to transform individual expertise into a truly collective capacity for rapid mobilization.
