The POPCORN Pediatrics network, one of the projects funded by the Eastern Canada Pandemic Preparedness Hub (PPPeC), has received a two-year grant from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) to support maternal and child health research in Canada.
This initiative aims to strengthen a key area in building a more inclusive and resilient healthcare system. The project supported by PPPeC brings together all 16 pediatric hospitals and research networks across the country to build a unified national platform for pediatric health research and pandemic preparedness.
PPPeC congratulates the entire POPCORN network team on this important recognition, as well as Dr. Olivier Drouin, who is now leading the network.
This new milestone reflects the strength of this collaborative initiative and its role in helping build the resilience Canada needs to face future pandemics.
