The Eastern Canada Pandemic Preparedness Hub (PPPeC) is proud to highlight exciting news for one of the projects it supports. PandemicStop-AI, led by Professor Yves Brun, has secured major international funding through a significant antimicrobial resistance initiative supported by the Gates Foundation and its partners.
The project brings together several leading partners, including the Université de Montréal, the Courtois Institute for Biomedical Innovation, Mila – Quebec Artificial Intelligence Institute, The Hospital for Sick Children, the University of Toronto, the Institute for Research in Immunology and Cancer (IRIC), and Simmunome Inc.
PandemicStop-AI aims to accelerate the discovery of new antibiotics through innovative approaches combining microbiology, phenotypic screening, and artificial intelligence.
By supporting this initiative, PPPeC is helping strengthen Canada’s capabilities in biomedical innovation and pandemic preparedness.
PPPeC congratulates Professor Yves Brun and the entire team on this important international recognition.
