The Hubs

National biomanufacturing and life sciences research hubs

The five national hubs were announced by the federal government in March 2023 as part of Canada’s Biomanufacturing and Life Sciences Strategy. They bring together bold, visionary scientists across academia and the public and private sectors, to improve Canada’s pandemic readiness and the overall health and well-being of Canadians.

Federal funding of $570 million will be available over the next four years to support project proposals associated with these hubs as part of the national. Proposals are now being reviewed at the federal level, and competition results are expected in March 2024.
